Our Community
We at Jim Watkins, Certified Public Accountant take an active interest in improving the community in which we live and work. The members of our staff are involved in numerous activities and maintain an active role in our community. Here are just a few organizations Jim Watkins, Certified Public Account is proud to sponsor:

California Organization of Police & Sheriffs
The California Organization of Police and Sheriffs (COPS) has proudly served the men and women who protect our communities for over 30 years. We understand that strong communities are not built by law enforcement alone. That is why we help officers forge deep roots in the communities they serve.
California Professional Firefighters
Designed initially as a lobbying organization in the California Legislature, California Professional Firefighters (CPF) has built upon that foundation to become a full-service organization dedicated to winning firefighters the rights, protections and benefits they deserve.
Child Quest International
Jim Watkins, Certified Public Accountant was proudto be recognized as a Gold Sponsor at the 7th Annual FairWay For Kids Golf Tournament. Child Quest International is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the prevention and recovery of missing, abused, and exploited children.
San Jose Police Officers' Association Charitable Foundation
The men and women of the SJPOA are dedicated to preserving our community, our state and this great nation. The mission of the San Jose Police Officers' Association Charitable Foundation is to support organizations related to the police community, and community policing.
Sheriff's Advisory Board (S.A.B.)
The Sheriff's Advisory Board is a non-profit volunteer organization for the purpose of supporting local law enforcement. Since public safety agencies must compete for scarce tax dollars with other public entities in government, funding is not always available no matter how necessary or worthy a particular request might be. It is on these occasions that the Advisory Board renders vital assistance.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
St. Jude's is one of the world's premier centers for the treatment and research of pediatric cancer and other childhood catastrophic diseases. St. Jude is the only pediatric reserach center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. St. Jude also provides transportation costs and local living expenses during treatment for the patient and one family member, and assists with meal costs while the family is in Memphis.
California Police Youth Charities
The organization will provide productive opportunities by pairing positive role models with "at risk" children between the ages of 6 and 18 years of age, that have free time after school and during weekends, holidays, and summer time. They provide the following: Educational & Athletic Opportunities for "at risk" children, College Scholarships to High School Seniors in every county in California and also provide spirit-lifting opportunities for critically or terminally ill children.
Environment California
Environment California supports keeping out state parks open, fighting global warming and protecting our bays and coastlines. They support making polluters pay for global warming polluction so that we can generate revenue to invest in global warming solutions. They also work to reduce the amount of litter and polluction that hits our ocean. This year they will continue to work with the Governor's office to keep our parks open in the face of a challenging budget year.
